Senior Process Safety Consultant – AcuTech European Office
AcuTech Group, Inc. is a premier provider of process safety and risk management services. They are seeking a Senior Process Safety Engineering Consultant to join their European team, working on challenging projects in the Hydrogen, Green Energy, Oil & Gas, Chemical, or Petrochemical industries.

Responsibilities
Work directly with clients on projects spanning all aspects of process safety and risk management
Proactively apply engineering and problem-solving skills to meet challenging safety and business objectives
Seek out leadership and growth opportunities
Perform process safety engineering work, e.g. facilitating PHAs and LOPAs, conducting incident investigations and PSM audits, delivering PSM training and various other process safety management needs
Qualification
Required
A Bachelors or Masters Degree in a related engineering field (i.e. chemical, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, safety)
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and client service
Minimum 10+ years of experience in technical process safety, across the Hydrogen Fuels, Oil & Gas industry or Chemical and Petrochemical industries. Experience must include facilitation of multiple PHAs, LOPAs and Audits and understanding of PSM management systems and QRA
Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams, manage client relationships, develop business and utilize strong project and people management skills
Self-motivated, independent, organized, able to work effectively with peers, handle multiple work assignments and projects and seek professional growth and development
Relevant experience in process safety management, experience in process or engineering design processes, manufacturing operations, and/or consulting environment
Ability for business development, including but not limited to developing proposals and making presentations
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills and a consultative approach in supporting customer projects
Experience in developing, implementing, or managing PSM programs
Experience in developing, writing, & implementing PSM plans, procedures, design philosophies, design bases, engineering specifications, & standard operating procedures
Experience developing & evaluating/auditing PSM management systems & advising management at all level of the organization to effect positive change to operational excellence
Candidate must be based in either The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France or United Kingdom and have ability to work in European Union and UK
Preferred
Ideal candidates will be “Seller Doers” with existing client connections and an ability to generate new business
Fluent (minimum C1 level) in one additional European language, preferably German, French or Dutch
Experience and expertise in PSM Technical Services such as: Facilitation of Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), and risk assessments, or related studies, such as HAZID, What-If, HAZOP, FMEA, and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA)
Conducting Quantitative Risk Assessment including QRA studies, fault tree/event tree analysis, facility siting studies, fire hazard, explosion, and toxic modeling
Solid understanding of the relevant European Directives
Experience and expertise in Safety Instrumented Systems services such as: Safety integrity level (SIL) assessment, safety integrity level (SIL) assessment based on recognized knowledge of IEC61511 and related standards
Experience and expertise in dust hazard management services such as: Evaluating processes for dust hazard fire and explosion risks (DHA), Auditing for dust hazard management
Experience and expertise in reactive chemistry hazard management
