Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain security strategies for public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), ensuring alignment with CIBC’s risk management and compliance objectives
Design and deploy automated security controls and monitoring solutions to ensure efficiency, consistency, and rapid response across cloud and endpoint environments
Conduct risk-based assessments for new and existing cloud and endpoint solutions, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies
Build, integrate, and maintain security solutions for cloud and their respective endpoint platforms
Ensure all cloud and endpoint environments comply with internal security standards and regulatory requirements. Manage audits, reporting, and continuous monitoring activities
Perform comprehensive security reviews of infrastructure-as-code, system designs, and technical architectures. Provide recommendations and guidance to engineering teams
Collaborate with other security and IT teams to integrate cloud and endpoint security with broader security operations
Support the development and delivery of training programs to promote a culture of data protection and security awareness across the organization
Design and implement secure cloud architectures that support high-velocity business growth and scalability requirements

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
5+ years of experience in cloud security, endpoint security, or related roles
Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and associated security tools and services
Strong knowledge of cloud security frameworks, automation, and DevSecOps practices
Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Terraform)
In-depth understanding of risk management, compliance, and governance in cloud environments
Familiarity with endpoint protection platforms, EDR, and mobile device management
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Preferred

relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, AWS/Azure Security)
