The role involves contributing to the mission of strengthening homes and businesses against severe weather, specifically through wind tunnel analysis and developing laboratory test strategies for roof assemblies.

Responsibilities
Process and analyze wind tunnel data from experiments on a single-ply roof system and draw interpretations from pressure mapping
Design a structured sequence of experiments using multiple test devices to evaluate system-level reliability of roof assemblies
Produce a draft experimental plan specifying objectives, apparatus selection, test protocols, measurement methods, and expected outputs
Qualification
Required
Background in Civil Engineering
Background in hazards (preferably wind) and structural reliability
Writing and communication skills are highly valued
Knowledge in statistical and probabilistic analysis
Familiarity with a programming language
Applicants should be authorized to work in the US
Preferred
Knowledge in performance-based design is preferred
