Infectious Disease- Assistant/Associate Professor, Tenure or Research Scholar Pathway
The University of Vermont is a leader in patient care, medical education, and research. They are seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor in the Division of Infectious Disease to establish an independent research program and direct the Human and Population Research Core.

Responsibilities
Establish and maintain an independent, externally funded research program in human infectious disease epidemiology that complements and enhances existing TGIR faculty expertise
Direct and expand the TGIR Center’s Human and Population Research (HPR) Core, which supports faculty conducting human and population-based research on globally important infectious diseases. The HPR Core provides training, methodological support, and research infrastructure, and the director will play a leadership role in strengthening its campus-wide reach
Qualification
Required
PhD-level epidemiologist (or equivalent terminal degree)
Postdoctoral training
Record of external funding, commensurate with career stage
Experience with clinical and translational research methods
Experience with human subjects protections
Experience with clinical trials
Experience with regulatory requirements
Experience with investigational product development
Familiarity with study design
Familiarity with biostatistics
Familiarity with data management
Familiarity with biorepository infrastructure
Demonstrated success in team leadership
Demonstrated success in collaboration
Demonstrated success in mentorship
Strong commitment to UVM's mission and advancing Our Common Ground values through teaching, service, research, scholarship, or creative arts
