Regional Sales Manager, Central
Dr. Schär is focused on driving sales growth and brand development across the Central U.S. region. The Regional Sales Manager will manage broker and distributor relationships while ensuring retail execution excellence and contributing to the company's strategic direction.

Responsibilities
Manage broker and distributor teams to expand Schär sales and distribution across assigned Central region states
Execute and track promotional strategy and trade spending in collaboration with Retailers, Distributors, and Brokers
Create and deliver sales presentations and materials tailored to distributors, brokers, and key retail partners
Assist in developing Planograms for retail and distributor partners using internal and syndicated data (e.g., SPINS)
Coordinate retail initiatives with internal 'Professionals' group for assigned accounts
Attend and represent Schär at trade shows, distributor events, and key retail functions
Monitor retail pricing, product distribution, and competitive activity; deliver actionable insights through regular reporting
Contribute to the annual Business Plan process with regional-specific input and forecasting
Responsibilities may evolve based on business needs; the employee is expected to remain agile and perform other duties as assigned by management to support the success of the organization
Implement Category Management principles with assigned Brokers, Distributors, and Retailers
Leverage syndicated and internal data to support sku optimization, identify regional trends, and build compelling sales arguments
Collaborate with Marketing and Sales leadership to develop data-backed Planograms and shelving strategies
Own fiscal and budget accountability for assigned Central region retail customers, including deductions, trade terms, and slotting investments
Partner with Sales leadership during the annual budget planning process to ensure regional targets are aligned and achievable
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
5–8 years of experience in CPG sales strategy, planning, or sales operations
Strong business acumen and deep understanding of retail dynamics
Expertise in Excel and analytical tools; experience with data platforms like Nielsen, IRI, or SPINS
Exceptional communication skills, with ability to influence cross-functional teams
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously
Willingness to travel as needed (approx. 50-60%)
Preferred
Prior experience supporting a national salesforce or category/commercial team preferred
MBA a plus
