This role involves executing manual testing, collaborating with developers and product teams, and contributing to the continuous improvement of testing processes.

Responsibilities
Execute manual test cases for browser-based and mobile applications
Perform functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing
Validate end-to-end user workflows, UI behavior, and usability
Test across multiple browsers, devices, and screen sizes
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities when required
Create, update, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test data
Execute test cases and document results clearly
Share testing status, defects, and observations with the QA team
Follow defined QA processes and documentation standards
Identify, log, track, retest, and close defects using bug-tracking tools
Write clear, reproducible defect reports with steps, screenshots, and expected vs actual results
Coordinate with developers to validate bug fixes
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and sprint reviews
Collaborate closely with developers, QA leads, and product stakeholders
Work in an Agile / Scrum-based development environment
Learn and apply SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, and QA best practices
Gain basic exposure to API testing concepts using tools like Postman
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes
Qualification
Required
Basic understanding of Manual Testing and Software Testing fundamentals
Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Defect Life Cycle
Understanding of testing types: Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, Exploratory Testing
Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Engineering, or a related field OR Certification or formal training in Software Testing / QA
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Willingness to learn new tools and technologies
Team player with a quality-focused mindset
Preferred
Familiarity with bug tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla preferred)
Basic awareness of API testing and Postman
