Network Operations Center Technician I - Monitoring Cell (Sensor)

Computer World Services supports the Air Force Information Networks (AFIN) Mission Assurance Center, focusing on monitoring and maintaining network systems. The role involves troubleshooting, reporting incidents, and ensuring optimal network performance for various Air Force operated systems.

Responsibilities

Identifying, documenting and reporting outages or degradations of 16 AF operated systems
Communicating directly with 26 NOS, 83 NOS, 561 NOS, 691 COS, 690 COS, MCCCs, 616 Operations Center (OC), and AMAC Crew representatives on network outages and concerns and providing direct support to cyber operations across the AFIN
Utilizing AFIN monitoring tools (currently, SolarWinds, Net Cool, Remedy, and Mission Assurance Decision Support System (MADSS))
Performing routine hardware/software checks for 16 AF operated equipment including: routers, switches, firewalls, web proxies, and servers (Domain Controllers, Exchange, Certificate Authorities, etc.)
De-conflicting ASIs with identified system degradations/outages
Recording routine checks in Master Station Log
Collecting, documenting, and reporting actionable intelligence for initial event and incident response
Performing routine queries of incident management database to identify end-user AFIN issues

Required

Requires an associate degree or equivalent and 0-2 years of related experience -OR- 3-5 years of related experience
IAT II = CySA+, Security+, CCNA - Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP or higher (Typically Sec+)
Applicants must have an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
This is a 24/7/365 mission, and the ability to support Days, Swings, and Mids operations is required
