Responsibilities
Use wire cutting equipment to accurately measure and cut wire to specified lengths in accordance with work orders and customer specifications
Inspect wire and cable for defects, damage, or inconsistencies prior to cutting; report any issues or discrepancies
Maintain accurate inventory records, including wire lengths, quantities, and product types, through WMS and/or ERP transactions, including footage marking management
Ensure proper labeling of products for accurate identification and retrieval
Prepare materials for outbound shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, packing lists, and staging
Collaborate with the shipping department to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
Receive incoming copper and aluminum wire shipments and verify quantity and quality
Monitor inventory levels and assist with replenishment as needed
Maintain high quality standards throughout all wire handling and preparation processes
Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, coilers, spoolers, compartments, and A-frames
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company and regulatory safety standards
Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and work orders
Basic math skills for measuring and calculating wire lengths
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Commitment to safety, quality, and operational standards
Background check is required
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required
Strong math and measurement skills required
Sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position
Preferred
Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification as required)
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous experience in wire cutting, electrical distribution, or construction preferred
Forklift experience preferred
