The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for managing bookkeeping updates, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and communicating with clients to resolve any discrepancies.

Responsibilities
Accurately code and categorize transactions in QuickBooks Online
Deliver weekly bookkeeping updates for 20–30 clients
Maintain real-time accuracy (clients frequently review books live)
Support month-end close using internal workflows
Perform self-review of financials before supervisor review
Work across full-cycle bookkeeping (not limited to AP/AR)
Communicate with clients to resolve uncategorized transactions and questions
Over time, assist with or present financial information to clients
Qualification
Required
2–4 years of relevant experience in an equivalent or related field
Strong accounting or bookkeeping fundamentals
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (required)
Experience with full-cycle bookkeeping (not limited to AP or AR)
High attention to detail and accuracy
Confident, clear written and verbal communication skills (client-facing)
Proactivity, clear communication, and a consistently positive attitude are mandatory for this role
Preferred
Familiarity with tools such as Karbon, Bill.com, Uncat, and payroll platforms (Paychex, ADP, Gusto) is a strong plus
Experience working in small or growing companies is a plus
Tech-savvy or eager to learn new tools
