Development Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

Communicating directly with government customers to capture requirements and provide status updates
Influencing design for manufacturability and ensuring producibility of complex electro‑mechanical systems
Identifying and mitigating production risks while supporting both Lockheed Martin and supplier manufacturing operations
Managing earned value and tracking cost‑reduction opportunities throughout the product lifecycle
Providing technical expertise for assembly, test, and integration of circuit card assemblies and related processes

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or STEM Related Discipline
Strong communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
Experience working within cross-functional groups, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with various teams and stakeholders
Technical knowledge and experiences in the areas of defensive and aerospace manufacturing, process development and production testing
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must possess an active Secret clearance to start

Preferred

At least 1+ year prior experience in a manufacturing role directly supporting the shop floor
Working knowledge of Electro-Mechanical assembly processes including CCA, Cable and Harness, and lower level assembly fabrication
Knowledge of Digital Transformation and Automation Processes in a Manufacturing Assembly Environment
Experience running Design for Manufacturing events and trade studies
