HRIS Integration Lead
PEPL is engaged to place a HRIS Integration Lead for a growing client in the technology industry. The HRIS Integration Lead will design, implement, and maintain integrations across diverse HCM technology ecosystems, leading integration strategy and execution for UKG Pro while managing connections between multiple HCM platforms and third-party vendors.

Responsibilities
Build and maintain integrations between HCM systems and multiple unique vendor environments (e.g., connecting one HCM to multiple Greenhouse instances across different OpCos)
Design and implement integration solutions for UKG Pro, serving as the primary technical expert for UKG's integration capabilities (Integration Hub, SFTP, APIs, UDE rules)
Develop and maintain integration architecture for bi-directional data flows between disparate HCM systems (e.g., Workday ↔ UKG, HiBob ↔ UKG)
Create scalable integration frameworks that support their decentralized operating company structure
Experience building centralized data repositories across multiple source systems
Design data consolidation approaches across multiple HCM platforms
Develop reporting solutions that span multiple source systems
Document integration specifications, data mapping, and technical processes
Configure UKG Pro to optimize integration capabilities and support expanding connectivity needs
Build and maintain SFTP connections, API integrations, and custom interfaces
Develop UDE (User-Defined Event) rules and Integration Hub workflows
Troubleshoot integration failures and implement monitoring solutions
Proactive problem identification and solution development
Lead HRIS integration activities for bolt-on acquisitions, including system assessments and migration planning
Integrate acquired companies' HCM systems into existing infrastructure or establish new connection points
Coordinate with OpCo stakeholders to understand unique integration requirements
Collaborate with HRIS Analysts to ensure data integrity across integrated systems
Manage relationships with integration vendors and technical contacts
Coordinate with multiple operating companies to understand their unique vendor ecosystems
Partner with OpCo HR and IT teams to implement and support company-specific integrations
Translating technical concepts for non-technical HR stakeholders
Facilitating requirements gathering across diverse business units
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to one direct report
Develop team capabilities in integration technologies and methodologies
Manage integration project timelines and deliverables
Qualification
Required
5+ years of HRIS integration experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior capacity
Deep expertise in UKG Pro integration capabilities (Integration Hub, SFTP, APIs, UDE rules, interface builds)
Proven experience integrating multiple HCM platforms (Workday, HiBob, ADP, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar)
Strong technical proficiency in: API integration (REST, SOAP), SFTP file transfers and data mapping, XML, JSON, and CSV file formats, Integration middleware platforms
Experience managing one-to-many integration scenarios (e.g., one system connecting to multiple vendor instances)
Project management skills with ability to handle multiple concurrent integration initiatives
Experience in complex, multi-entity organizational structures
Preferred
UKG Pro certification or advanced training
Experience with M&A HRIS integration activities
Knowledge of ATS systems (Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS) and their integration patterns
Experience with decentralized holding company structures
Familiarity with HR data security, compliance, and governance requirements
Background in change management and stakeholder communication
