Mail Processor (Part-Time) - State National

Markel is a Fortune 500 company that provides insurance, reinsurance, specialist advisory, and investment operations globally. They are seeking a Mail Processor responsible for handling and processing all company mail, ensuring timely sorting and distribution of incoming mail, as well as preparing outgoing mail.

Responsibilities

Receives all incoming mail, interdepartmental mail, memos etc: sorts and distributes according to appropriate destination and within timeliness guidelines

Picks up, sorts and prepares all outbound mail with appropriate postage

Runs folder/insert equipment for all notices and policies in preparation for mailing

Completes the filing and archiving of account documentation as required

Prepare overnight packages as specified by user department for a variety of carriers

Assist Supervisor in the general maintenance of the facility as directed

Required

Must have good oral communication skills

Good organization skills

Ability to complete tasks in timely manner

Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems

High school Diploma or equivalent required

Requires current drivers license, and good driving record with the ability to meet company insurance requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required

Preferred

Prior experience in a similar environment preferred with experience and knowledge of postal equipment operation
