The role involves collaborating with engineering teams, creating and modifying drawings, and providing guidance to junior drafters.

Responsibilities
Produce high-quality design drawings using CAD with minimal supervision
Use drafting applications to originate, modify, and maintain drawings
Perform field walkdowns to verify system conditions and gather design data
Interpret engineering input and translate it into accurate design packages
Create minor design details and support multi-discipline design needs
Provide direction and mentorship to junior drafting staff
Generate 3D models (S3D preferred)
Qualification
Required
U.S. Citizen (no exceptions)
Associate degree in a related engineering or drafting field
10+ years of progressive drafting/design experience in Engineering & Construction
Strong experience with CAD applications (AutoCAD, etc.)
3D modeling experience required (S3D preferred)
Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local codes, including DOE Orders
Experience supporting engineering disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, architectural, communications, or fire protection
Preferred
Nuclear facility or DOE site experience
Ability to manage multiple design packages with minimal oversight
Experience collaborating with engineers in highly regulated environ
