Responsibilities
Provide policy guidance to the Board of Commissioners and management staff
Collaborate with other county departments to link services to tenants
Provide and expand access to safe and affordable quality housing
Creatively collaborate with home buyers, developers and other clients and members of the public
Complete the conversion of Golden Gate Village property to Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD)/Section 18 to 90% Project Based Vouchers and 10% RAD
Convert all family public housing to RAD/Section 18
Oversee and implement capital improvements to senior and disabled public housing units
Convert all senior and disabled public housing units from public housing to Project Based Vouchers- RAD/Section 18
Transfer Emergency Housing Voucher holders to Housing Choice Voucher program
Qualification
Required
Visionary and innovative leadership skills
Experience overseeing a large organization with multiple direct reports
Ability to provide policy guidance to a Board of Commissioners
Experience collaborating with county departments to link services to tenants
Skills in providing and expanding access to safe and affordable quality housing
Experience in creatively collaborating with home buyers, developers, and other clients
Experience with Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) and Section 18 programs
Ability to oversee and implement capital improvements to public housing units
Experience in converting public housing units to Project Based Vouchers
Experience in managing a budget of approximately $95 million
