Responsibilities
Design and develop customizations and extensions in Dynamics 365 F&O (X++)
Customize forms, reports, data entities, and workflows to meet business needs
Develop custom logic using extension models (over-layering discouraged in F&O)
Design and implement integrations between D365 and external systems (e.g., PLM, WMS, payroll, eCommerce, POS, ISV APIs)
Develop and maintain data flows using Azure Logic Apps
Azure Functions
OData / REST APIs
Custom connectors
Dataverse and Power Automate
Build robust middleware layers or interface solutions between systems
Support ETL activities and large data migrations using DMF (Data Management Framework) or custom scripts
Monitor and troubleshoot data sync jobs and interface performance
Follow secure development and performance optimization best practices
Conduct unit testing, participate in code reviews, and follow CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps
Maintain technical documentation and change tracking logs
Ensure all development and integration efforts follow security best practices and comply with organizational and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, SOX)
Work closely with functional consultants and business analysts to translate requirements into technical specifications
Provide ongoing support and enhancements post go-live
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including stand-ups and sprint planning
Qualification
Required
5+ years of development experience with Dynamics 365 F&O (X++)
Hands-on experience with system integration using: Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus
RESTful APIs, OData, JSON, XML
Power Automate and Dataverse
Solid understanding of Dynamics data models, extensions, and event handling frameworks
Solid understanding of Dynamics 365 functionality
Experience using Azure DevOps for source control, build pipelines, and deployments
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
Effective communication and teamwork across technical and non-technical teams
Agile mindset with the ability to handle shifting priorities
General understanding of business functions
Experience integrating D365 with third-party tools such as Shopify, Salesforce, SAP, PLM, WMS, or legacy systems
Familiarity with Microsoft tools: Power Platform, Power BI, CDS/Dataverse
Microsoft certifications (e.g., MB-500, PL-400, MB-700, AZ-204)
Familiarity with message queuing, error handling, and monitoring tool
