Fehr Graham Engineering & Environmental is a fast-growing Midwest engineering and environmental firm looking for a motivated Project Engineer to join their team. The role involves assisting with the design and development of transportation projects, preparing plans and specifications, and coordinating with various teams to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

Assist with the design and development of transportation projects, including roadway geometrics, intersections, roundabouts and pavement
Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, design reports and quantities
Perform calculations for grading, drainage, stormwater, pavement and traffic operations
Develop design elements using Civil 3D
Coordinate with survey, environmental, structural and municipal teams
Assist with permitting, utility coordination, agency submissions and quality assurance and quality control processes
Participate in client meetings, stakeholder discussions and internal reviews
Support construction administration tasks such as submittal review, requests for information and field observations

Required

Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
1 to 5 years of experience in transportation engineering or municipal design
Licensed Professional Engineer or Professional Traffic Operations Engineer or ability to secure licensure shortly after start date
Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
Understanding of roadway design principles and municipal project requirements
Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical design skills
Strong communicator
Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
Desire to grow into project management and client-facing responsibilities
Team player
