Responsibilities
Conduct structural design and analysis using software such as Revit, RISA, ETABS, SAP, and RAM
Prepare and review structural plans, specifications, and calculations with precision and accuracy
Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals to ensure compliance with design and safety standards
Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies to align designs with project goals
Lead and mentor junior engineers and BIM technicians, providing technical guidance and quality oversight
Participate in client calls and meetings, offering technical input and supporting clear, professional communication
Contribute to project budgeting, planning, and scheduling by providing accurate engineering input
Apply knowledge of building codes, materials, and design criteria to ensure compliance and efficiency across all deliverables
Maintain organized records of design decisions, calculations, and project documentation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field and seven (7) years of relevant experience in structural analysis and design of industrial, warehouse, distribution, and low-rise multi story buildings, including project management; or
Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field and five (5) years of relevant experience in structural analysis and design of industrial, warehouse, distribution, and low-rise multi story buildings including project management
Minimum 5 years of experience in performing and supervising the design and analysis of low and mid rise buildings
Minimum 5 years of experience utilizing software packages such as RISA, ETABS, SAP, RAM
Extensive knowledge of local and national building codes and design practices
Knowledge of standard construction practices and the ability to work with contractors to address construction issues
Detail oriented with strong interpersonal, problem solving and team skills
Deep knowledge of construction materials and methodologies
Proven drafting skills, exemplified by a portfolio of prior work
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Preferred
Master's Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering or related field
Professional Engineer's (PE) license
Experience in precast and tilt-up buildings desired but not required
Experience with Revit and AutoCAD
