Responsibilities
Perform routine and non-routine analysis, including chemical, and physical, and of a wide variety of product, process, project, research, and environmental samples from all areas of the operation
Review analytical results and QC data for quality, research any discrepancies, and report any anomalous results to the Analytical Laboratory Supervisor
Become proficient with analytical techniques and instrumentation including ICP-AES, ICP-MS, XRD, XRF, UV-Vis, AA, TOC, Ion Chromatograph, and physical properties analysis
Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
Assist in tracking and maintaining the chemical reagent inventory
Clean and maintain workstation(s) after use and help to ensure laboratory instrumentation/equipment is in safe working order
Perform lab housekeeping and routine inspections
Prioritize all analytical work with the Analytical Laboratory Supervisor and communicate with other departments as needed for efficient laboratory operations
Actively participate in the safety management programs and adhere to all appropriate laboratory safety and operations procedures. Also comply with all health, environmental, and safety. regulations, company policies, processes, and procedures
Flexible shifts and hours may be required based on operational needs
Maintain safe work practices
Complete any other tasks as needed or directed by management
Qualification
Required
High familiarity with analytical techniques and instrumentation
Familiarity with computers and database software
Bachelor's degree in a Science required, chemistry preferred
Valid Driver's License and good driving record required to drive company vehicles on property
