Information Technology Associate

The Oregon Judicial Department is hiring an Information Technology Associate to provide essential technical support to court staff and the public. This role involves managing various technical systems and providing advanced support for software and hardware issues.

Responsibilities

Providing advanced technical support for video conferencing equipment, digital recording systems, telephones, multimedia presentation systems, web applications, virtual servers, and storage area networks
Providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for software, hardware, communications, and data-related issues
Keeping an equipment inventory
Preparing detailed system design documentation
Maintaining user documentation, training materials, and other instructional aides
Conducting comprehensive analyses
Identifying the court’s application and programming needs
Using SharePoint and PowerShell to develop specifications and write custom software solutions
Planning, configuring, installing, inventorying, and upgrading workstations, printers, and audio/visual systems
Performing server and security administration tasks, including network and application monitoring, vulnerability and patch management, incident response, and disaster recovery planning and execution
Conducting regular server backups and troubleshooting system failures
Managing network systems, subsystems, and devices
Administering user accounts
Providing local administration support for Microsoft Outlook
Installing and configuring VoIP hardware and software
Supporting VoIP end users
Working on special projects and researching emerging technologies

Required

A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, management, public administration, or a related field
Three (3) years of technical experience in the duties and infrastructure support required for the position
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to seven (7) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position
Experience providing customer service in person, by phone, through email, and over chat and communicating technical issues to a variety of users with different computer skill levels
Experience evaluating system efficiency and suggesting improvements
Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and PowerShell
Experience installing and configuring Microsoft Windows OS in a business setting
Experience with Microsoft Windows servers, including performing backups and troubleshooting system failures
Experience writing custom software solutions
Experience installing and configuring VoIP software and hardware
Experience configuring and troubleshooting audio/visual technology

Preferred

Experience managing iOS devices in an enterprise environment
