In this role, you’ll translate engineering markups and standards into clear, buildable drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Revit, while collaborating closely with engineers to maintain document accuracy and organization.

Responsibilities
Develop HVAC and plumbing drawings and 3D models in AutoCAD and Revit based on engineer markups, company standards, and project requirements
Create and update plans, sections, and details
Apply and maintain United Mechanical CAD/BIM standards on all drawing and modeling work
Collaborate with Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers to clarify markups
Maintain model and sheet organization, revision history, and drawing/deliverable logs
Assist with basic BIM support tasks such as CAD/model cleanup, exporting views, and preparing files for coordination meetings
Prepare and review final drawing packages, including PDFs and printed sets for issue
Manage daily workload to meet project schedules and task deadlines
Perform additional drafting/modeling duties as assigned by the manager
Qualification
Required
Proficient in AutoCAD and/Revit, and Microsoft Office
Hands-on Dynamo experience in a production environment (creating, running, and troubleshooting scripts)
Proficient in Bluebeam
7+ years of professional drafting/modeling experience in HVAC/plumbing or MEP construction/design
Ability to interpret HVAC and Plumbing design drawings
Good communication skills; able to collaborate across engineering, project management, and field teams
Must be quality-minded and self-motivated
Ability to work well under pressure, juggle, and prioritize multiple projects
Detail-oriented with strong document control habits
