Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting therapists during patient treatments and performing various support activities for rehabilitative services. Assists licensed therapists in performing specific patient treatments to include preparation of treatment areas, patient transport, and various duties during individual treatments
Identifies, monitors, and performs activities and methods related to cleaning and disinfection to prepare treatment areas, linens, supplies, and equipment needed for patient treatments
Orders, maintains, and stocks inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate inventory levels are maintained
Answers telephone, directs calls, and takes messages and greets visitors and offers assistance to patients, physicians, families, customers promptly and efficiently
Performs various clerical activities such as patient filing, record storage and retention, mail pick-up and delivery, data entry, and other clerical support activities
Responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures
Effectively manages resources such as supplies and equipment. Plans work and completes job responsibilities in an efficient and productive manner
Demonstrates professional work behavior and excellent customer service routinely in all interactions
Performs other job functions as assigned or requested
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent
1-3 years Customer service, collections or call center
Knowledge of appropriate behavior when greeting and assisting patients, family members and physicians
Ability to learn, synthesize and maintain up-to-date working knowledge of the department, personnel, and changing technology
Working knowledge at basic proficiency level for windows-based software applications
Ability to perform computerized data collection and entry and to navigate in a windows environment
Proven record of providing excellent customer service
Ability to communicate promptly, clearly and accurately in both written and oral form
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to organize tasks and maintain control of work flow
Demonstrated ability to resolve routine problems using policies and procedures
The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion
Must have good balance and coordination
The physical requirements of this position are: medium work - exerting up to 150 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 40 lbs. of force frequently
The Associate is required to have close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision to perform an activity, such as assessing patients, preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading
Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact
Exposure to patient body fluids as well as exposure to hazardous or poisonous materials
Ability to react quickly to emergency situations
