Responsibilities
Review evidence required supporting property damage subrogation activity on claims in accordance with policy contract, corporate claims policy and state regulations
Contact appropriate parties, insurance carriers, attorneys and uninsured motorists so as to negotiate settlements which are in compliance with company objectives and applicable state regulations
Maintain updated spreadsheet for all open subrogation collection claims to ensure proper compliance with company policy and applicable state regulations
Maintain overall proper compliance with all applicable state regulations
Evaluate all counter claims that present themselves and review with Claims management
Review settlement offers with Claims management to ensure they are in compliance with company objectives and applicable state regulations
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of auto insurance company subrogation collection or other collections experience
Extensive knowledge of coverage, non-standard auto experience
Strong negotiator
Ability to understand, read estimates of repair(s), total loss evaluations, attend court hearings/trials
TX P&C License is required
Good interpersonal, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills
Ability to pass written examinations where required by state statutes to become a licensed claim adjuster
Ability to work on an on-line computer-based claims system
