Responsibilities

Perform inspections and testing on large commercial and industrial construction sites

Prepare daily inspection and test reports

Review inspection and test data for accuracy and completeness

Assist with training and mentoring of less experienced staff, with potential to lead a team of field staff on large projects

Work with engineers and clients to ensure specifications are being followed

Qualification

Required

Strong communication skills

Ability to contribute and work well on a team

Excellent plan reading skills

High attention to detail

Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Various ICC Certifications, ACI Grade I, Various NICET Certifications, Nuclear Gauge certifications required OR a bachelors degree in engineering with EIT

The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Valid driver's license and a good driving history

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Preferred

Associate degree from a technical or four-year school preferred

2-5 years' experience in construction observation or special inspections
