Capital Planning Assistant (Co-op)
The Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) is a quasi-independent government authority that provides funding for school building projects. They are seeking a Capital Planning Assistant (Co-op) to support Project Managers and Architects in various tasks related to public school construction projects.
Construction
Responsibilities
Preparation of reports
Preparation of presentations
Support of technical review
Assist in information gathering
Maintaining databases associated with cost-tracking
Maintaining databases associated with construction cost estimates
Maintaining databases associated with bid results
Maintaining databases associated with capital project status
Potentially attending site visits
Qualification
Required
Must be enrolled in a degree program leading to a bachelor's degree in building or construction related degree
Ability to work hybrid work schedule - minimum of two (2) in-office days per week
Legally eligible to work in the U.S
Preferred
Prior internship experience in the architecture, construction or building industry
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with multiple, competing priorities
Ability to deliver results with limited direction and guidance and on tight deadlines; a self-starter
Highly motivated and energetic
Strong work ethic and tenacity
Minimum 3.2 GPA
