Ambulatory Management Intern

Responsibilities
Assists the assigned department in maintaining a patient/customer focus, supports the delivery of high-quality care, shares a passion for patient and customer-centered care, and assists in meeting or exceeding patient satisfaction and financial/operational targets
Engage with health system and department leadership to gain an understanding of the organization, patient populations served, organizational goals and objectives, and many other aspects of providing quality healthcare services
Rotate through various divisions such as operations, revenue cycle, data analytics, and quality and safety with the goal of providing ideas to grow and improve the business
Complete business-focused projects to research, propose ideas and solutions and present the final project at the conclusion of the program
Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards (ex TJC, DOH, FDA, HIPAA, HCFA, DPW, LCGME, SCGME, etc.)
Flexibly and readily adopts new processes and engages in practice operation changes
Rotation and observations of front-line level role functions and/or departments may be required to enrich the Resident’s overall work experience
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an MHA, MPH, or similar master's degree program
Bachelor's Degree or combined Bachelor's/Master's Degree program, actively enrolled in an integrated 5 year BS/MHA program
Bachelor's Degree required upon program commencement, proof of enrollment in accredited Bachelor's Degree program accepted upon hire
Submit a personal statement of no more than one page outlining your career goals and what you hope to gain from your Administrative Residency experience at Penn Medicine
