Responsibilities

Assist in evaluating and improving manufacturing processes for efficiency, safety, and quality
Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and process standardization
Participate in time studies, workflow analysis, and layout optimization
Help develop and update process documentation, work instructions, and SOPs
Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve process-related issues
Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
Present findings and recommendations to engineering and operations leadership
Support safety initiatives and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Detail-oriented with a strong desire to learn and contribute
Ability to stand, walk, and move around the production floor for extended periods
Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
Use of PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe shoes required
Exposure to manufacturing noise, machinery, and industrial equipment
Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments
Must follow all safety protocols and participate in safety training
Adherence to company policies and OSHA regulations is mandatory

Preferred

CAD or simulation software is a plus
Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
