Responsibilities
Oversee testing for system builds and releases, collaborate with delivery teams and business partners, and ensure software quality through strategic analysis and effective communication
Review and improve test processes, identify operational constraints, develop solutions, and prepare documentation for testing requirements and practices
Lead activities to review current testing processes and metrics that support operational effectiveness, identify constraints or opportunities that inhibit or accelerate the business and/or technology strategy, while also developing potential options/approaches to improve business outcomes
Work on and be part of the team to deliver digital banking solutions (FIS CEB and Q2)
Work on data analysis, data mapping, and ensure data from the legacy platforms are correctly mapped and migrated to the targeted platforms
When needed, work with vendors and service providers to understand features, functionality, data to ensure timely delivery of the tasks
Provide production support, timely resolution of incidents, and communication to business stakeholders
Develop list of critical documentation and artifacts to meet project objectives and complete development of high-quality deliverables, while effectively communicating any relevant learnings, findings, or impacts, with the subject matter experts
Leverage Risk Management experience from a large financial institution subject to heightened standards, specifically in risk, compliance, or corporate governance
Capture and upkeep of KRIs, KPIs, & Operational Metrics, as necessary
Identify software application weaknesses and target areas
Review software bug reports and highlight problem areas
Develop automation scripts, implement software, and resolve automation issues
Implement QA best practices, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement
Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, incorporating unit, integration, and performance testing through both manual and automated strategies
Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution, ensuring optimal system performance
Validate that software meets business and technical requirements through detailed testing processes
Collaborate with the design team to solve application faults
Work with business and development teams to understand business requirements
Lead test case design sessions and create detailed test scenarios
Use collaboration tools like Azure DevOps (ADO) and Confluence for documentation and test case management
Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensure compliance with QA governance standards, and verify that the software adheres to all relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices
Qualification
Required
5+ years of related experience
Bachelor's degree in a related field required
Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols
Intermediate to advanced working in Microsoft Office, Azure DevOps & relevant Diagramming Software (e.g. Lucid, Visio, etc.), as well as technical aptitude & experience within a Quality Assurance
Experienced in using automated testing tools and services, such as Playwright, Selenium
Entry-level to intermediate knowledge of general financial services or banking preferred
Entry level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong understanding of data integrity standards
Strong problem recognition, attention to detail and prioritization skills
Experience working with Agile methodologies
Knowledge of design and execution of test cases that support accessibility testing based on WCAG principles
Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills
Occasional travel required
Preferred
Experience in working on digital transformation programs, Core and Digital Banking conversions (such as Client, FIS, Client, and Q2 Digital Banking)
