Responsibilities

Providing jurisdictional inspections and machinery breakdown risk assessment services for customers and business partners
Provides intermediate machinery breakdown consultative services to customers, including identifying exposures with significant loss potential, investigation of cause/effect of major losses and hazard/machinery breakdown management programs
Provides basic level training for customers, service design and coordination, marketing, and loss investigations
Provides Account Engineering and coordination services to the Chicago and Cleveland based underwriting team
Supports the Machinery Breakdown Sales and Marketing team

Required

Bachelors Degree and 3 or more years of experience within Boiler and Machinery in the Risk Engineering and Safety area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience within Boiler and Machinery in the Risk Engineering and Safety area
Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience within Boiler and Machinery in the Risk Engineering and Safety area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience within Boiler and Machinery in the Risk Engineering and Safety area OR Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an Associates degree and 6 or more years of experience within the Boiler and Machinery Risk Engineering and Safety area
Working in a team environment

Preferred

Advanced knowledge within the boiler and machinery industry segment
Advanced experience in the assessment of risk, based on what is required by Machinery Breakdown specific competency standards
National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors Commission Card
Navy Nuclear School
Insurance industry experience
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams, and Word)
Strong communication and organization skills
Experience working in a team environment
