The Medical Laboratory Technician plays a critical role in supporting the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients by performing technical laboratory testing on patient specimens.

Responsibilities

Perform accurate and appropriate laboratory testing of patient specimens under supervision
Report test results promptly and according to established laboratory procedures
Adhere to quality control procedures, compliance regulations, and standard operating policies
Assist in managing lab resources, instruments, and workflow for efficient operations
Maintain safety standards while working with hazardous materials and patient specimens
Perform additional duties as assigned

Required

Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (including those grandfathered in from CLA programs)
Current licensure as a Medical Laboratory Technician in the state of Tennessee (required only for TN-based positions)
Working knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures and instrumentation
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with laboratory information systems
Ability to manage tasks independently and prioritize effectively
Team-oriented mindset and ability to communicate across clinical departments
