They are currently seeking a Commercial Furniture Designer / Specifier who will work closely with various teams to design and manage contract furniture packages, ensuring adherence to industry standards and client specifications.

Responsibilities

Work closely with project managers, estimating and sales teams on contract furniture packages
Create 2D and 3D typicals, renderings, furniture plans and specifications accordingly
Seeing projects through initial program/development phase to order entry and final installation
Design and space plan clients’ workspaces in accordance with industry standards and codes
Coordinate with interior designers/architects to provide hold to dimensions and electrical locations based on workplace specifications
Work in partnership with manufacture teams to provide finish samples, product discounts, custom products, etc
Stay knowledgeable of new and current product offerings and design trends
Exercise value engineering expertise when required
Provide prompt and courteous responses to requests and prompts
Complete multiple tasks in a timely manner and adhere to strict project completion deadlines

Required

Expertise in Industry Software (AutoCAD, CET, DWG, CAP2020)
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Knowledge of industry codes and contract furniture product, including systems (MillerKnoll preferred)
Ability to thrive in a team environment
Commitment to excellence, accuracy in work and attention to detail
Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
Associate's/Bachelor's Degree
3+ years relevant experience preferred
