Responsibilities

On a regular and recurring basis, utilize trades and/or labor knowledge and skill to lead a team of three or more workers in performance of various related work
Perform nonsupervisory trades and/or labor work that is usually of the same kind and level as members of the work crew led
Periodically check Supply Materials and Equipment, ensuring needed supplies and equipment are available to accomplish work assignments along with managing the Tool Control Program
Ensure that the crew abides by all rules, regulations, and policies established by higher authority relative to safety, security, fire prevention, training, and good housekeeping
Plan and lay out work with a minimum of accompanying information, to fabricate, manufacture, assemble, and install unconventional, one-of-a-kind aircraft sheet metal items for a one-time project or in support of experimental or testing activities
Modify aircraft frame segments, such as metal structural members and reinforcements
