Responsibilities
Setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic parts
Focuses on mold changes, process parameter adjustments (temperature, pressure, speed), quality inspections, and ensuring safety and efficiency
Respond to machine alarms, handle materials, perform minor maintenance, and collaborate with engineers to meet production goals and customer specifications
Prepare machines for production by installing molds and auxiliary equipment
Set process parameters such as temperature, pressure, injection speed, and cycle times
Diagnosing and correct processing issues (e.g., part defects, cycle time problems)
Make real-time adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
Understand molding defects and apply troubleshooting techniques
Ensure compliance with process control and quality standards
Perform preventive maintenance and clean molds
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of injection molding principles and process optimization
Familiarity with injection molding machines
Knowledge of thermoplastics, resin drying, and raw material characteristics
Prepare machines for production by installing molds and auxiliary equipment
Set process parameters such as temperature, pressure, injection speed, and cycle times
Diagnosing and correct processing issues (e.g., part defects, cycle time problems)
Make real-time adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
Understand molding defects and apply troubleshooting techniques
Ensure compliance with process control and quality standards
Perform preventive maintenance and clean molds
Strong injection molding knowledge, experience, mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic/hydraulic troubleshooting
Proven experience in plastics injection molding process
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Vocational/technical degree related to injection molding or plastic processing / tooling
Preferred
Experience with Netstal injection molding machines
Preferred experience with molding automation: programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining robotics, End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT), sensors, PLCs, and related electrical/pneumatic systems
