Responsibilities
Develop products for the solar market by defining requirements, generating concepts, determining evaluation metrics, building concept prototypes, evaluating concept functionality and iterating
Leverage modeling data (FEA, tolerance analysis, DFX, etc.) and collaborate closely with our test engineering team to validate and optimize designs
Track and demonstrate that your designs meet the product requirements that you help define
Provide technical feedback to other design engineers
Implement continuous improvements and best practices with the team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
5+ years in a mechanical engineering and product design role
Must have experience designing products for high-volume production (roll forming, sheet metal stamping, extrusions, die-castings, injection molding, etc.)
Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Expert in SolidWorks
Creative capacity for developing new ways to do things better, cheaper, faster
Proficiency in Arena is a plus
Mandarin or Spanish speaking is a plus
Preferred
5+ years of work experience with Mechanical Product Design
5+ years of work experience with SOLIDWORKS
