Data Analyst Intern
The Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) is seeking interns to join our team this summer. As a Data Analyst intern, you will contribute to our mission of strengthening communities against severe weather by utilizing strong programming skills to solve complex problems.

Qualification
Required
Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and JavaScript programming languages, with a focus on writing high-performance, well-documented, and maintainable code
Deep experience utilizing visualization packages in Python (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly) and JavaScript (e.g., D3.js, three.js) to create clear, interactive, and compelling visual representations of complex data
Practical understanding and application of visual perception rules to design effective user interfaces and data visualizations that minimize cognitive load and maximize accurate data interpretation
Strong working familiarity with contemporary software engineering best practices, including version control, testing frameworks, and dependency/package management
Solid understanding of fundamental data structures and algorithms for efficient data manipulation and processing
Applicants should be authorized to work in the US
Ability to commute/relocate: Richburg, SC. Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
