The Data Center Technician, Jr. will be responsible for monitoring systems, supporting electrical and mechanical tasks, and assisting in maintenance activities to ensure optimal data center operations.

Information Technology

Responsibilities

Perform routine monitoring of data center systems including power, cooling, and environmental conditions

Conduct scheduled facility walkthroughs and inspections, documenting findings and escalating abnormalities

Monitor alarms and alerts through BMS, EPMS, and DCIM platforms

Assist with shift handovers and operational logs

Support basic electrical and mechanical tasks under supervision

Assist with UPS, generator, ATS/STS, and HVAC monitoring

Support IT equipment racking and cabling activities

Assist senior technicians with preventive and corrective maintenance

Follow approved MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs

Manage work orders in CMMS systems

Follow LOTO, PPE, and electrical safety procedures

Participate in safety training and incident reviews

Maintain accurate logs and inspection records

Escalate issues following site protocols

Participate in training and qualification programs

Develop understanding of redundancy and risk management
