The successful candidate will provide oversight, ensure compliance with engineering standards, and participate in project planning and execution.

Responsibilities
Provide group oversight and daily direction to personnel performing pipe support design
Attend project status meetings and provide input to schedule and budgets
Plans, develops, directs, and participates in the day-to-day Plant Design activities on projects
Ensures compliance with Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs)
Reviews and approves key PD&P engineering drawings, calculations and bid summaries
Ensures that designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards including ASME B31.1, B31.3, and AISC
Perform coordination review of specifications and other documents prepared by others
Candidate should possess knowledge of OSHA, NFPA and piping codes
Software applications to be used are GT Strudl or hand calculations for pipe support structural design
Qualification
Required
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
Excellent listening, oral, and written communication, planning, and organizational skills are essential
Experience supervising a group of Engineers and Designers
Familiar with Bechtel Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs) and their application to projects
Ability to communicate across engineering disciplines
Understands work processes of other disciplines and departments on projects
Ability to express technical issues in a clear and concise manner, both written and verbally
Ability to resolve design issues with subordinates, suppliers, other engineering disciplines, construction, and the client
Candidate should possess knowledge of OSHA, NFPA and piping codes
Software applications to be used are GT Strudl or hand calculations for pipe support structural design
