SLR International Corporation is seeking a Project Geologist to join their Portland, Oregon operations. This role offers the opportunity to work on soil and groundwater assessment and remediation projects while providing hands-on experience interacting with clients and contractors in the environmental consulting industry.

Responsibilities

Conduct field work for Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) with soil, groundwater and/or soil-vapor sampling

Contractor/driller oversight for monitoring well installation, soil excavation, building demolition

Coordinate long-term groundwater monitoring programs (i.e., quarterly events)

Assist with obtaining permits and public utility locate requests for environmental construction tasks

Provide construction oversight on environmental remediation projects, operations, and maintenance of environmental remediation systems

Assist in data interpretation and preparation of site work plans, spreadsheets, figures, conceptual site models, and technical reports

Be engaged with the company’s Health & Safety program

Effectively communicate with Project Managers, subcontractors, regulatory agents, tenants, and clients during field activities

Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments
