The University of Miami is seeking a Human Resources Representative to join their UHealth Human Resources team. This role is responsible for coordinating onboarding sessions for new hires and ensuring compliance with I-9 documentation and other pre-employment requirements.

Responsibilities

Will be responsible for coordinating and conducting the onboarding sessions for new hires

Provides candidates via email and phone the electronic onboarding paperwork

Provides information on required documents for I-9 compliance

Oversees front end processing of all drug tests, background screening and TB tests

Follows up in Sterling to ensure applicants are meeting the deadline prior to hire date

Processes new hire in Workday accurately and timely

Provides new hires with relevant information on I am the U Orientation

Completes the I-9 in Workday for new hire employees

Follows up with E-verify if employment is not authorized

Prepares new hire packages for scanning

Provides support to HRSS Manager with special projects and audits

Serves as back up for the front desk

Supports department and employees by phone, email and walk in

Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets

Required

Bachelor's degree in relevant field

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form

Ability to understand and follow instructions

Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion

Skill in collecting, organizing and analyzing data

Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems
