Outside Sales Representative - Pumps

Responsibilities
Identifying potential clients and target markets
Conducting market research to understand customer needs and preferences
Using various methods to generate leads such as cold calling, networking, and referrals
Maintaining a pipeline of potential clients
Establishing rapport and trust with clients
Understanding and addressing clients' needs and concerns
Providing excellent customer service
Regularly following up with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify potential opportunities
Preparing and delivering effective sales presentations
Negotiating terms and pricing with clients
Utilizing persuasive and effective communication skills
Closing deals and securing contracts
Setting and achieving sales targets
Developing and implementing sales strategies
Tracking and reporting on sales performance
Identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions
Working closely with marketing and product teams to understand products and services
Collaborating with colleagues to share ideas and strategies
Providing support and assistance to team members when needed
Continuously learning about industry trends and developments
Keeping up-to-date with product knowledge and features
Attending workshops, trainings, and conferences to enhance skills and knowledge
Maintaining accurate and organized records of sales activities and client information
Managing accounts and ensuring customer satisfaction
Coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth and timely delivery of products or services
Managing contracts and agreements with clients
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent work experience
Proficiency in sales tools and software (e.g., SalesForce, CRM systems)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross functional teams
Strong negotiation and closing skills
Knowledge of market research and competitive analysis techniques
Local travel requirement 50% - 60% (No overnight travel)
Preferred
2+ years' sales or sales related experience (pump or process industry preferred)
General knowledge of mechanical and pumping designs; hydraulic, pneumatics, water flow, electric motors in related field of pumps, pumping systems, or construction preferred
