Re-Cert & Repair Technician

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, rig and repair Automonus Underwater Vehicle and Sub-Assemblies
Fabricate complex wire harnesses, solder electronic modules (including PCBAs), and modify COTS components
Fabricate and modify machined parts and COTS components
Complete vehicle and equipment documentation
Assist with developing checklists and operations for vehicle
Perform configuration tasks to flash/load correct SW/FW versions onto devices
Support management of tools, equipment, and lab supplies (maintenance, calibrations, raw material stock)
Contribute to all stages of the vehicle product development and provide feedback to the engineering team
Assist with kitting products, as needed
Potential of traveling offshore to support our operations team

Qualification

Required

3+ years of relevant experience in a mechanical & electronical field (automotive/marine, aerospace, robotics, defense, Avionics)
Capable of carrying out detailed electro-mechanical assembly work with tight-tolerance components/enclosures and complex wire routings
Experience in preparing and executing test procedures with high levels of attention to detail
Experience working off of technical documentation, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings
Familiar with simple fabrication processes, basic hand tools, and both plastic/metal part manufacturing
Commitment to a high-quality product and strong sense of personal accountability
Extremely organized and detail-oriented
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Has a never-ending sense of urgency and enthusiasm
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Preferred

Experience in sub-sea robotics (AUVs, UUVs, underwater equipment)
Experience with pressure vessels and/or pressure systems/equipment
IPC 610 and/or 620 Certification
Prior experience working with JIRA, Teamcenter (PLM), or NetSuite (ERP) or equivalent
Holds an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license or has similar training
Previous experience operating Overhead Crane
