Senior Financial Analyst

Responsibilities
Revenue Recognition & Analysis: Review and analyze contracts to determine revenue impacts and ensure accurate financial reporting
Contract Review & Compliance: Review and analyze contracts for financial implications, ensuring compliance with company policies, financial reporting standards, and legal requirements. Identify risks and areas for improvement in revenue reconciliation
Revenue Lifecycle Management: Oversee the lifecycle of contract revenue from inception to renewal or termination. Track and maintain key contract revenue details, including terms, fees, and milestones
Financial Reporting: Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely revenue reporting. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports as needed, tracking against targets and identifying variances
Data Analysis & Insights: Provide data-driven insights related to contract performance and revenue trends using financial forecasts. Identify opportunities to enhance profitability through revenue reconciliation
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, legal, operations, finance teams and external business contacts to ensure alignment between contract terms and business objectives. Provide insights into how contract terms impact revenue recognition and long-term financial performance
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve revenue and contract management processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Implement new tools and best practices to optimize contract and revenue management workflows
Financial Analysis: Develop, maintain, and analyze financial models to support forecasting and budgeting. Conduct ad-hoc analysis to evaluate profitability, pricing, cost drivers, and business opportunities. Support leadership in evaluating business performance, identifying trends, and monitoring key metrics
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or accounting; energy sector experience preferred
Strong technical skills with databases and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL)
Basic SQL Proficiency: Must be comfortable using basic SQL commands (SELECT, WHERE, JOIN, GROUP BY) to query large datasets within our data lake to build, maintain, and validate financial reports independently
Experience working with ERP and/or CRM systems such as Salesforce, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or SAP
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas); experience with financial systems and BI tools is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; MBA or CPA strongly preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can manage multiple priorities independently
Preferred
Strong understanding of energy procurement, energy efficiency projects, or sustainability services is highly desirable
Excellent attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to review and interpret complex contracts
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to maintain a professional and pleasant demeanor while performing various administrative duties effectively and efficiently
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Proven ability to develop financial reports, revenue forecasts, and variance analyses
Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Revenue Management System and Customer Relationship Management
