Responsibilities
Managing the Senator’s complex and dynamic schedule
Greeting and interacting courteously with visitors and constituents
Answering telephones
Managing incoming correspondence
Ordering supplies
Providing general administrative support
Performing various office duties including answering phones
Greeting visitors
Processing correspondence
Coordinating office resources
Facilitating events
Processing certificate/resolution requests
Tracking team projects
Writing and researching in various capacities
Tracking and managing FPPC reporting documentation
Meeting with constituents and advocates
Providing additional legislative support as needed
Qualification
Required
High school diploma required
Exceptional organization, discretion, and professionalism
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PCs
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional environment
Conduct themselves with integrity at all times
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience working in a fast-paced office environment
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Understanding of the Legislature and California government
