Responsibilities
Own delivery of complex features and systems end-to-end, from requirements through production
Lead projects that may span multiple engineers or touch multiple systems, keeping work on track and stakeholders informed
Make architectural and technical decisions for your team's domain, and contribute to broader engineering standards
Partner with Product, Design, and other functions to understand problems deeply before jumping to solutions
Mentor other engineers informally, either through pairing, code review, and helping others navigate ambiguity
Improve how the team works: contributing to team org-level processes and shaping engineering culture
Maintain production systems your team owns, including participating in on-call rotations and incident response
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with demonstrated ownership of complex projects
Track record of leading work that involved ambiguity and challenges. You know how to peel back the layers of the onion
Experience making technical decisions and living with the outcomes
Comfortable influencing without authority: you can drive alignment
Strong communication skills: you write clearly and can explain your reasoning
Experience with AI-assisted development tools and opinions about where they add value
Experience building with C#, .NET Core, TypeScript, React
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
Familiarity with observability, incident response, and operating systems in production
Preferred
Experience in healthcare, benefits, or other regulated environments
Exposure to B2B2C product models
