Business Development Manager
Confidential company is seeking a Business Development Manager who thrives on owning the full lifecycle of freight brokerage. The role involves managing sales and operations, building customer relationships, and ensuring successful freight execution from quote to delivery.

Responsibilities
Prospecting and onboarding new customers through cold outreach and relationship-building
Quoting freight, negotiating rates, and securing capacity
Managing shipments from booking through delivery, including tracking and issue resolution
Acting as the primary point of contact for customers and carriers
Growing and maintaining your own book of business
Leveraging TMS/CRM tools to manage accounts, lanes, and performance
Collaborating with internal teams to ensure high service levels and customer retention
Qualification
Required
Direct freight brokerage experience required (cradle-to-grave)
Proven ability to sell brokerage services and execute freight
Strong understanding of market pricing, capacity, and carrier relationships
Experience building and managing a customer book
Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
Comfortable in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
