Remote: Lead IT Financial Analyst
IntePros has partnered with a global pharmaceutical services client to identify a seasoned IT Finance / FP&A professional to support financial planning, analysis, and governance across technology and shared service organizations. This role involves managing financial relationships, providing financial insights, and supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts while mentoring junior team members.
Responsibilities
Manage the financial relationship between our global pharmaceutical services client and key strategic IT vendors, including SOW review and tracking, monitoring adherence to contract terms, and reconciling vendor accounts
Monitor and report on key Program Accounting initiatives, including detailed project financial reviews
Maintain and oversee IT financial processes throughout the project lifecycle, including supporting and training project managers on financial requirements
Serve as an educational resource to internal partners, external vendors, and business leaders to support understanding of financial results, metrics, and measurement systems
Provide financial consulting and analytical support—including budgeting and forecasting—to leadership across assigned shared service organizations
Act as a mentor and resource for junior IT Financial Analysts
Partner closely with shared service leaders to understand business needs and ensure alignment of forecasts, budgets, and financial plans
Prepare monthly accruals and expense reclassification entries
Audit task charge codes in Clarity to ensure compliance with accounting standards
Maintain forecasts for operating expenses and capital expenditures
Support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes
Assist with capital planning for assigned organizations, including research and analysis, business case validation, financial modeling, and recommendations
Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; provide actionable conclusions and recommendations
Report monthly actual results versus budget and forecast; investigate variances and clearly communicate drivers
Provide financial analysis to support IT leadership decision-making and monthly management reviews
Ensure knowledge, understanding, and compliance with company policies and procedures
Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide feedback and recommendations to management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
8+ years of FP&A experience in a large corporate environment
Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, modeling, and analysis
Experience developing, leading, and improving FP&A processes
Advanced knowledge of accounting principles
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with financial systems required
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior leadership in a cross-functional environment
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Demonstrated knowledge of database applications in a business environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business challenges into effective solutions
Working knowledge of project management concepts
Strong leadership and decision-making skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, verbally and in writing
Strong organizational, administrative, and follow-up skills
Preferred
degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
Experience supporting IT organizations strongly preferred
SAP experience a plus
