Graduate Assistant for Environmental Science and Engineering Department (Teaching and Research)
Gannon University is seeking a Graduate Assistant for the Environmental Science and Engineering Department to assist in teaching and research activities. The role involves conducting experiments, maintaining laboratory instruments, and supporting faculty with laboratory classes.

Responsibilities
Ability to conduct experiments accurately and in a timely manner
Maintain, calibrate and operate field and laboratory instruments to measure various environmental parameters
Prepare chemical solutions and perform various wet chemistry tests
Prepare solutions, set-up and assist faculty with laboratory classes
Enter, clean and analyze data using Excel spreadsheets and applicable statistical programs
Understand and practice lab safety protocols
Be able to operate a university vehicle for transporting students to field sites
Performs other duties as assigned within the scope, responsibility, and requirements of the position
Research assistants selected for this position are required to present the outcomes of their experience at Celebrate Gannon and/or other venues determined by the college
Qualification
Required
Requires full-time enrollment in the M.S. Program in ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE & MANAGEMENT and an undergraduate degree in appropriate science or engineering discipline
General chemistry coursework or experience performing wet chemistry tests
Must have a driver's license
Must be able to support and promote the University's Mission
