CNC Programmer - Chiller

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for generating programs for various automated machining centers including sheet metal punching, laser cutting and bending
Drafting requirements: Design and develop thermal management equipment using 2D and 3D drawing tools (Autodesk Inventor or equivalent is an asset)
Produce detailed drawings and schematics for manufacturing purposes
Participate in product development by collaborating with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration
Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and technicians to ensure that all drawings meet quality standards
Review drawings and specifications and understand customer needs
Interact and support production and sales departments on behalf of engineering team members
Validate that drawings comply with industry standards, safety standards and specifications
Programming requirements: Program various automated CNC machines such as sheet metal punches, lasers, press brakes, tube lasers, etc
Improve machine utilization, efficiency and reduce material waste
Determine tooling requirements and maintain tooling database
Prepare material requisitions
Troubleshoot programming and DXF file errors
Prepare documentation to support production
Perform all other tasks related to this position

Required

Must have a good knowledge of sheet metal cutting and forming processes
Must have a good working knowledge of AutoCad and Inventor
Must have a good working knowledge of MS Office Suite
Must have good communication skills
Must demonstrate good troubleshooting skills and resourcefulness
Program various automated CNC machines such as sheet metal punches, lasers, press brakes, tube lasers, etc
Improve machine utilization, efficiency and reduce material waste
Determine tooling requirements and maintain tooling database
Prepare material requisitions

Working knowledge of Salvagnini programming (S4, L5, B3) is an asset
Design and develop thermal management equipment using 2D and 3D drawing tools (Autodesk Inventor or equivalent is an asset)
