Responsibilities
Serve on the Camp Leadership team along with the Camp Director, Assistant Director, Camper Care Specialist and Kindergarten Camper Care Specialist
Supervise all speciality areas (Farm, STEM/Nature, Sports, Theater & Arts and Crafts) and dedicated 2-week speciality camps
Develop and prepare counselors with a weekly and daily activity schedule
Coordinate any programming with outside partners/vendors, e.g., a visit from the Snake Educator
Create and implement weekly themes and other relevant special events
Plan and implement experiences that foster an understanding of a variety of cultures and provides experiences and play materials that respect all aspects of diversity
Maintain a safe and healthy environment for campers, abiding by all camp rules and policies. Assist any camper with empathy and patience
Communicate with staff and parents
Qualification
Required
Must be over the age of 18
Experience or willingness to work with children (ages 4 – 12)
Has the ability to think and act creatively, be flexible, demonstrate pride of work, and is caring about the individuals they serve
Supervisory experience
Experience in program planning and curriculum building in a formal or informal educational setting
