Law Practice
Responsibilities
Investigate new matter background, compile information and documentation and formulate initial case strategy
Prepare pleadings, discovery demands/responses, motions and other legal documents
Negotiate settlement agreements
Effectively communicate with clients, counsel and courts
Participate hearings, mediation, depositions and trials
Supervise paralegals
Perform legal research and analysis
Try cases when necessary and appropriate
Qualification
Required
Minimum 4 years previous litigation experience, preferably in the areas of construction, real estate, community association and business disputes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail
Familiarity with Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and Evidence Code
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to build rapport with clients
Ideal candidate will be an entrepreneurial, driven, self-starter, capable of multi-tasking and looking to grow with the firm
