They are seeking Landscape Construction Inspectors to join their team, focusing on improving the green infrastructure of NYC through inspections and project oversight.

Responsibilities
Conduct daily inspections
Supervise and control construction activities to ensure the overall safety of the site
Ensure compliance with permit conditions
Coordinate with other city agencies
Monitor and supervise the performance of the contractors
Ensure adherence to technical requirements
Maintain a high level of responsiveness and effectiveness
Conduct on-site measurements
Track quantities
Perform design work before and during the construction process
Accurately assess the progress and quality of the project
Regularly report to the resident engineer, project lead, and professional engineer (PE)
Maintain daily, weekly, and expert tracking records
Verify quantities and line items in the field with contractors and clients
Hold and attend field meetings with both the contractor and owner
Function as an ambassador for the city's urban forest resources during interactions with the city's residents and landowners
Administer all health and safety (H&S) procedures as necessary
Participate in a green infrastructure mentorship program
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture, or related plant science field
1 or more years' of professional industry experience in tree protection, pruning, installation and establishment, or other services that directly relate to the work of the contract
Skills in Microsoft 365 Suite, especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft SharePoint
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and ability to work both independently and within a diverse team representing Arcadis and/or our client Agencies in interactions with the client, local agencies, and the community
Demonstrate a basic understanding of tree biology, tree establishment, and general landscape construction work
Proficient at reading and understanding design plans, specifications, and shop drawing submittals
Ability to be mentored and understand green infrastructure in NYC
